Privacy Policy

This policy explains how information is handled through diondthornton.com and related Bishop DaGreat platforms. Rootlayer Software provides the underlying systems, technical operations and data-processing support for these platforms.

Information collected

Public browsing does not require an account. The Ledger & Logic HQ member pilot provides invite-only account sign-in using Netlify Identity, with optional Google or GitHub OAuth. Account information may include your email, account identifier, sign-in provider, account status and relevant technical authentication records. Google or GitHub may process information as part of the sign-in you choose under their own privacy terms. Password credentials and OAuth secrets are handled by authentication services, not published on this website. When you contact Dion D. Thornton by email, the information you voluntarily provide—such as your name, email address, organization and project details—is used to respond to your inquiry and evaluate a potential working relationship. The public Builder Interest & Readiness intake collects your name, email, preferred learning pathway, experience, interest area, estimated weekly learning time, referral source, learning goal, optional public project URL, adult confirmation and consent selections. The intake is separate from the member training-request feature, which remains disabled. Please do not submit sensitive or confidential material.

Member authentication

Member accounts are used to verify access to pilot and future member features, maintain sessions, support invitations and account recovery, prevent unauthorized access, and respond to account support requests. Browser authentication relies on technical cookies or equivalent session mechanisms needed to maintain a sign-in; these are not advertising cookies. Sign-in uses Netlify Identity and, if chosen by the member, Google or GitHub. Public lessons remain accessible without a member account. Account registration is currently invitation-based, not open to the public.

How information is used

Information may be used to communicate with you, prepare requested materials, provide services, maintain business records, protect platform security and meet legal or contractual obligations. Builder Interest submissions are reviewed to understand learning demand, design pilot programs and respond about potentially relevant opportunities. Joining the interest list does not constitute a job application or membership. Separate, broader program updates are only sent to respondents who select that optional preference, and they can opt out of those updates. Interest records may be evaluated by authorized staff or operators assisting Ledger & Logic; they are not automatically used to make binding hiring or admission decisions. Information is not sold to advertisers or data brokers.

Service providers

Rootlayer Software may process information as the technical and operational provider behind Bishop DaGreat platforms. Netlify provides hosting, member account authentication and Netlify Forms intake storage and spam detection; Google or GitHub may provide optional login authentication. Hosting, email, document, scheduling or analytics providers may also process limited information when those services are activated. Their processing is governed by their own terms and privacy practices.

Retention and security

Account and contact records are retained while needed to provide membership, respond to requests, maintain security and business records, or meet legal obligations. Builder Interest submissions will ordinarily be removed or de-identified within 12 months of submission unless a continuing relationship, a separate opt-in, or a legal obligation supports longer retention. Submissions may be removed earlier on request, subject to applicable obligations. The applicable third-party providers may retain their own operational or security records under their policies. Requests to close an account or delete associated personal information are reviewed subject to security, contractual, and legal retention requirements. Reasonable administrative and technical measures are used to protect information, but no internet-based system can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You can continue using public learning and discovery resources without signing in. Builder Interest submission is voluntary; you can request access to, correction of or deletion of a submission and withdraw optional program-update consent. For member accounts, you can sign out at any time and request access, correction, account closure, or deletion of related personal information, subject to applicable legal and recordkeeping requirements. These requests can be sent to dabishop.ftw@gmail.com.

Changes

This policy may be updated when platform features, providers or legal requirements change. The displayed update date will change when material revisions are published. This description covers the current member authentication pilot and separate public Builder Interest intake. Member training-request submissions remain disabled and require review before activation.
